Pre-launch commercial terms

Terms of Sale & Software Licence

These terms describe the intended MVP product, sale, delivery, and licence model. Sales are closed. Checkout-specific terms and seller details will be completed before any purchase can be made.

Pre-launch 1.0 ยท Last updated 16 September 2026

1. Product and educational purpose

Blackjack Academy is local desktop software for learning and practising blackjack decisions. The software is designed as a practice tool for applying blackjack strategy charts in simulated decision-making situations. It uses virtual chips only, does not provide real-money gambling, and does not promise winnings, profit, or financial results. A mathematically preferable decision can still lose an individual hand.

2. Purchase and delivery model

The planned model is a one-time purchase with no subscription currently offered. Windows is the first planned commercial platform. After a future verified purchase, digital delivery is intended to provide protected access to the eligible installer and a permanent access code by email. No checkout or payment provider is currently presented as active.

3. Personal software licence

Subject to payment and these terms, the purchaser receives a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable licence to install and use the purchased version on personal devices owned or controlled by that purchaser. The current policy does not impose an artificial fixed number of those personal devices.

This permission does not cover installation for a group or organization, sharing with third parties, redistribution, public hosting, mirrors, torrents or other file-sharing, resale, rental, sublicensing, or making the software or installer publicly available.

4. Access code

The permanent access code is personal to the purchaser and must not be shared. It provides temporary website access to eligible downloads and may be rotated or recovered only through the official access mechanisms. It is not a desktop account, and no account or password is required for core offline training.

5. Use rights, updates, and future generations

The purchaser is intended to retain the durable right to use the purchased product generation. These pre-launch terms do not promise any particular update, maintenance period, future feature, support term, platform, or continuing compatibility, except where applicable law requires otherwise. If an update is made available for the purchased generation, its scope will be stated when it is released. A genuinely new major generation or a version for a different platform may be offered separately in the future. No upgrade price or entitlement is promised by these pre-launch terms.

6. Intellectual property and technical restrictions

The software, content, visual materials, and associated intellectual property remain the property of their lawful owner. The licence grants use, not ownership. Reverse engineering, decompilation, or circumvention may be restricted only to the extent that such a restriction is permitted by applicable law. These terms do not claim that technical anti-piracy protection exists.

7. Consumer rights and refunds

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer protections, including withdrawal rights where granted by applicable law and legal remedies for non-conforming digital content. The 14-day withdrawal framework described in the separate Withdrawal & Refund Policy is particularly relevant to qualifying EU and EEA consumer transactions and is not presented as a universal right for every customer worldwide.

8. International sales and applicable law

The future sales model is intended to support international customers. Subject to confirmation of the final seller identity and checkout terms, Belgian law is intended to govern these terms and the sale. That choice will not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections that apply in their country of residence or another competent jurisdiction. These terms do not attempt a country-by-country legal analysis.

9. Seller and contact

Final seller identity and contact information will be published before sales open. See the Legal Notice for configured details.
